Rise!

This was a really fun project!

I usually sculpt something for the day sort of as a quick sculpt and ArhyBES' Batmetal was supposed to be one but I enjoyed the sculpt so much it ended up being a full project.

I took several influences on Batman's look but my main inspiration was the BvS suit texture while the colors were more from the old school batman. Grey. I wanted to make his gauntlets,cape,boots and cowl dark blue but it wasn't working for me so I decided to just use black. I was thinking of making his utility belt black as well but I wanted something to pop out of all the black colors aside from his skin so decided on the traditional yellow.

I wanted to capture the traditional "Batman on the rooftop" look but give him this rockstar feel to him and so I thought of letting him hold a concert on the rooftop standing on a gargoyle. The lighting from city lights around and the environment sky to fill it in.
